Terms of Use

1. Applicability of the Terms and Conditions

1. The contract between Startseite Untertitel GmbH and the visitor regarding attendance at a team-oriented event is concluded upon issuance of the participation ticket to the visitor (hereinafter referred to as “Startseite Untertitel”). By declaring their intention to purchase a participation ticket, the Startseite Untertitel agrees to these General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”). This also applies if the Startseite Untertitel books the participation tickets by telephone, via the internet, or using other communication technologies.
2. Upon transfer of the participation ticket to a third party, the contractual relationship is transferred to the transferee under these terms and conditions. The seller of a participation ticket is obligated to inform the transferee of the applicability of these terms and conditions.
3. For persons who are on the premises without these terms and conditions becoming effective through a contract, these terms and conditions shall apply accordingly as house rules.

2. General rules of conduct

Access to the event premises

1. The event premises (game rooms) may not be entered without valid participation tickets. Startseite Untertitel GmbH reserves the right to check eligibility for entry and, in the case of insufficient eligibility, to refuse entry to the game room or to exclude the Startseite Untertitel from participation.
2. Bringing weapons, cameras, digital cameras, video, DVD, and similar image or sound recording devices into the game rooms is not permitted. Startseite Untertitel are required to hand over such items at reception before entering a game room and collect them again after leaving. Devices not collected within three days of the event will be handed over to the lost and found office in Vienna.
3. Consuming food and/or drinks brought from outside is not permitted in the play areas.
4. Staff are authorized to inspect the bags and clothing of Startseite Untertitel before and upon entering and leaving the game room. If a Startseite Untertitel refuses or obstructs the inspection, they will be denied entry to the game room without a refund. If, after entering the game room, it is discovered that a Startseite Untertitel has brought any prohibited items into the premises, they will be removed from the event without a refund.Game Room Conduct
5. Startseite Untertitel GmbH reserves the right to deny Startseite Untertitel who harass other participants or employees and/or who disobey orders from Startseite Untertitel GmbH the purchase of participation tickets for a certain period of time or, in serious cases, permanently, as well as to deny them access to the business premises.
6. Startseite Untertitel may be excluded from the event without a refund of the participation fee after a warning from staff if they:
   • smoking is permitted on the premises;
   • Throwing food scraps on the floor or otherwise polluting the play area;
   • Bringing weapons or other dangerous or prohibited items into the play area, regardless of whether they are actually used or not;
   • Bringing food and/or drinks into the game room without the permission of Startseite Untertitel GmbH is prohibited.
7. After the event has ended, please leave the game rooms via the marked exits. Remaining in the game rooms after the event has ended is not permitted.
8. Removing, damaging, or destroying objects and props in the game rooms is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted under civil and criminal law. Startseite Untertitel are liable for all damages they intentionally cause.Recording of images and sound is prohibited.
9. Films (moving images) are copyrighted works. Reproducing, distributing, or publicly performing these works without the express written consent of Startseite Untertitel GmbH is a criminal offense and may also lead to civil prosecution. Therefore, taking photographs or audio recordings during an event is strictly prohibited (even for private use).
10. If there is evidence that a Startseite Untertitel has made or attempted to make image or sound recordings during the film screening, staff may detain them in an appropriate manner (Section 80, Paragraph 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure). The staff will immediately notify the nearest security authority of the detention.
11. Detention may be avoided if the Startseite Untertitel complies with the staff’s request to prove their identity and surrenders the device allegedly used to record the image or sound to the staff. In this case, Startseite Untertitel GmbH will immediately take appropriate steps to clarify the matter. If the items taken into custody are not seized by a court within eight weeks, they will be returned to the Startseite Untertitel at reception. Shipping of the items taken into custody is at the Startseite Untertitel’s own expense and risk.

3. Ordering process / Purchase of event tickets

1. The prices listed for each event apply to the purchase of tickets. These prices include VAT and other taxes at the legally required rate. The presentation of event services in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather an invitation to place an order. Service descriptions on the Startseite Untertitel GmbH websites do not constitute any assurance or guarantee. Errors and omissions excepted.
2. The Startseite Untertitel can select from the range of event services offered by Startseite Untertitel GmbH without obligation and add them to a shopping cart using the “Shopping Cart” button. The selection can be adjusted later in the shopping cart. Within the shopping cart, the Startseite Untertitel can complete the order process by clicking the “Checkout” button.
3. By clicking the “Buy Now” button, the Startseite Untertitel submits a binding offer to purchase the events in the shopping cart. Before submitting the order, the Startseite Untertitel can view and change the data at any time, return to the shopping cart using the browser’s “back” function, or cancel the order process entirely. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
4. After the order process is completed, Startseite Untertitel GmbH will send the Startseite Untertitel an automatic confirmation of receipt/order confirmation by email, which lists the order again and which the Startseite Untertitel can print. This automatic confirmation of receipt documents the receipt of the order by Startseite Untertitel GmbH and does not constitute acceptance of the offer. The purchase agreement is only concluded when Startseite Untertitel GmbH ships the ordered event service to the Startseite Untertitel within 3 days or confirms shipment within 3 days in a second email, by express order confirmation, or by sending the invoice.
5. If Startseite Untertitel GmbH offers payment in advance, the contract is concluded upon provision of the bank details and payment request. If payment is not received within 14 calendar days of the order confirmation being sent, even after a reminder, Startseite Untertitel GmbH will withdraw from the contract, resulting in the cancellation of the order and no obligation on the part of Startseite Untertitel GmbH. Therefore, event reservations for advance payments are valid for a maximum of 14 calendar days.
6. For pre-ordered tickets, participation tickets must be picked up and paid for no later than 15 minutes before the start of the event. Startseite Untertitel GmbH reserves the right to resell tickets not picked up on time, regardless of the pre-order.
7. Special Cancellation Policy: Startseite Untertitel can cancel their booking – irrespective of statutory cancellation rights – up to 48 hours before the booked event by sending written notice to: Startseite Untertitel GmbH, Maria-Theresien-Str. 3/1a, 1090 Vienna, or by email to: info@crimerunners.at, without stating any reason. Already paid tickets can be returned, and the full purchase price will be refunded. After this time, refunds or exchanges of paid tickets are no longer possible.

4. Payment terms

1. The Startseite Untertitel can choose from the available payment methods during and before completing the order process and is informed about the available payment methods on a separate information page:

2. If payment by invoice is possible, payment must be made within 7 days of receiving the invoice. For all other payment methods, payment must be made in advance without deduction.
3. If third-party providers are commissioned to process payments (e.g. PayPal, credit card providers), their terms and conditions apply.

5. Vouchers

1. Only one voucher can be used per team and participation. Vouchers cannot be combined.
2. Vouchers cannot be used when booking participation through a third-party provider.
3. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.

6. Use of Startseite Untertitel photos on Facebook / Consent

1. To better showcase the services of Startseite Untertitel GmbH and increase its reach and brand awareness, Startseite Untertitel GmbH regularly publishes photos of Startseite Untertitel on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/crimerunners/). Each Startseite Untertitel is explicitly asked for their consent to this use and processing after the event and can, of course, decline. In this case, the Startseite Untertitel receives the photo for exclusively private use, and the image data is deleted immediately after being sent or handed over to the Startseite Untertitel.
